I sometimes end up with the mixed unloading train still half full of copper, but already out of iron, depending on how fast copper-only trains come in, compared to iron trains coming in.
(I currently have iron trains coming into my sorting station pick-up more often than copper ones). Because this means my copper output has to be equal to my iron output. The only thing bothering me is the ratio of one mixed train to one copper to one iron. The balancers help with the uneven unloading of the cargo trains.
